People, Places & Activities

The world is here at Mines ... International Day, hosted by the International Student Council, is Nov. 22 at the Green Center, 924 16th St.

Come and enjoy food from across the globe, including tastes from Holland, Japan, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Trinidad and Tobago and more, from 4-6 p.m. in Friedhoff Hall. Food tickets cost 50 cents each. Entertainment featuring music, dance and cultural performances from several different countries will begin at 7 p.m. in Bunker Auditorium.

This year's event is dedicated to a member of Mines' international community who was lost in a tragic auto accident — Rukayah Al-Awami, a sophomore geophysics student from Saudi Arabia.
